Collin  Hansen

Collin Hansen practices in all areas of intellectual property law with an emphasis on patent, trademark, and copyright litigation. He represents Fortune 100, 200, and 500 companies, as well as emerging businesses, in complex disputes involving a wide range of technologies and industries. His experience includes matters involving continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), coronary stents, pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements, bone and tissue grafts, playground equipment, traffic signals, subway trains, audio equipment, consumer products, and other technologies.

In addition to his patent litigation practice, Collin has extensive experience in trademark and copyright litigation, representing clients in infringement, enforcement, and unfair competition matters in federal courts throughout the United States. He also regularly handles disputes involving copyright management information (CMI) and has experience in related areas of intellectual property law, including e-commerce disputes and intellectual property portfolio management.

Prior to joining Workman Nydegger, Collin practiced intellectual property litigation in Chicago. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he served as an editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property and received a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law in addition to his Juris Doctor. Before law school, Collin attended Brigham Young University, where he majored in Microbiology and Portuguese.

Outside of his practice, Collin enjoys skiing and backpacking in the Utah mountains with his wife and children.
