Workman Nydegger attorneys are engaged in top-notch intellectual property prosecution and litigation for clients around the world. Our prosecution work involves a wide range of technologies including electronics, software, information technology, e-commerce, chemistry, biotech, pharmaceuticals, mechanics, medical devices, and in emerging areas such as nanocatalyst technology. We draft and prosecute patents, trademarks and copyrights in each of these areas, along with all other associated transactional needs.
Workman Nydegger’s litigators handle disputes of all shapes and sizes, including patent infringement, trademark infringement, copyright infringement, false advertising and unfair competition, and other complex commercial litigation matters. We have extensive experience before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board in all kinds of post grant proceedings and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board in opposition and cancellation proceedings. Our attorneys represent both plaintiffs and defendants before courts all over the country.
Workman Nydegger looks forward to its summer associate program each year and the opportunity to work one on one with talented and capable law students seeking careers in intellectual property. Our summer associate program typically begins in late April and runs through August. During that time, our summer associates experience prosecution and litigation practice alongside some of the best attorneys in the country. We strive to provide our summer associates with opportunities to assist in out-of-town hearings and/or attend examiner interviews at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Although a meaningful work experience is the main thrust of our summer associate program, we also sponsor a number of social activities that foster camaraderie and our team atmosphere. Join us for a summer and you are sure to enjoy dinner parties, theater and concert events, sporting events, golfing, and the beautiful mountains surrounding Salt Lake City.
At Workman Nydegger we seek bright, talented and motivated lawyers who will not only make valuable contributions as associates but who will also become trusted colleagues and partners. Workman Nydegger does not subscribe to the “up or out” model, but to an apprenticeship model in which younger attorneys are trained and groomed for future growth and opportunities at the firm. We seek talented and motivated staff to complement our legal practice. We believe our culture is a key factor in retaining talented lawyers and professional staff.
