Workman Nydegger is pleased to announce the advancement of attorney Levi Brown to Equity Shareholder, attorney Collin Hansen to Non-Equity Shareholder, and attorney Peter Malen to Senior Counsel.
Levi Brown is an IP prosecution attorney and a member of the Patent Prosecution Group at Workman Nydegger. Leaning on his degree in electrical engineering, combined with his experience as an engineer prior to attending law school, he assists clients in obtaining international and U.S. patents. Levi has also assisted clients in various post grant proceedings and in counseling clients on patent procurement, IP due diligence, validity and infringement, strategic planning, and enforcement and defense actions.
Collin Hansen practices in all areas of intellectual property law with an emphasis on patent litigation. He has represented various Fortune 100, 200, and smaller companies in disputes involving a variety of technologies, including continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), coronary stents, pharmaceuticals, bone and tissue grafts, playground equipment, subway trains, and many more. He is also experienced in other areas of intellectual property law, including trademark prosecution and enforcement, copyright litigation, e-commerce litigation, and portfolio management.
Peter Malen is a senior counsel at the firm with a broad range of technical and legal experience. Beginning his professional career as a mechanical engineer, Peter worked in various technical capacities with the U.S. Department of Defense, where he gained over a decade of experience in the design and troubleshooting of mechanical systems on aircraft carriers and other surface ships. Since transitioning to the practice of law, Peter has assisted clients in protecting their technological innovations in a variety of fields, including: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Computer software, Computing system hardware and operations, Data science and data management, Electrical and electronic systems and devices, Fiber optics systems and components, Manufacturing, Mechanical systems and devices, Mining systems and equipment, Quantum computing, and Sporting goods.
