Jens C. Jenkins

Having developed and managed IP portfolios for individuals and companies, from small start-ups to large international corporations, Jens Jenkins has significant experience and a deep understanding of patent drafting, patent prosecution and post-examination proceedings. His practice is primarily focused on drafting and prosecuting patent applications, with a particular focus on conducting Examiner interviews at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to facilitate compact prosecution. Such interviews help to expedite the process for obtaining granted patents while also reducing overall prosecution costs.

Conducting over 1,000 Examiner interviews, Jens has become one of the most experienced attorneys in the country with such a practice. This has facilitated him obtaining patents for a variety of clients involving a broad range of technologies, including computer software, computer hardware, business methods, games, complex mechanical systems, military products, survival products, medical device technologies, and artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). Jens also provides related services including client counseling, portfolio analysis, opinions, and licenses.

When he’s not pursuing patents, Jens takes time out for traveling, experiencing new cultures and foods, hiking, and satisfying his passion for mentoring others.
