Ken’s practice focuses on the protection of intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights. Clients worldwide hire Ken to assist with complex technology and business litigation matters. Ken understands clients. As former Chief IP and General Counsel for CoolIT Systems, Ken focuses not only on litigation matters, but on creative business solutions to underlying disputes, and how these disputes impact the business and clients’ goals.  Ken’s combination of corporate and major law firm experience in both legal and business, gives him particular insight into what is important to a business from an IP perspective and how outside counsel can best add value to a corporate IP program.

Ken’s 25+ years of IP experience includes patent and other IP litigation, strategic IP counseling, patent monetization through sales and licensing, patent valuation, and patent prosecution and portfolio management. Clients rely on Ken’s extensive experience within the various court systems, which includes having   litigated numerous patent and technology matters in federal district court and before the ITC with diverse technologies including: liquid cooling of electronics, semiconductor design and manufacturing, computer systems and software, video and streaming, WiFi, and LCD displays. Ken also has a demonstrated history of devising and implementing effective patent monetization programs for clients through strategic portfolio building, licensing, litigation and other creative methods.
