Workman Nydegger Secures Approximately $14 Million Final Judgment and Permanent Injunction for SnapPower

Workman Nydegger has secured another significant victory for SnapPower in its patent infringement litigation against American Tack & Hardware Co. in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

The court entered final judgment of approximately $14 million in favor of SnapPower, following a unanimous jury verdict in May awarding SnapPower $9.4 million in damages and finding that American Tack willfully infringed four SnapPower patents.

The final judgment follows the court’s denial of American Tack’s four renewed motions for judgment as a matter of law and its motion for a new trial. In addition to the monetary judgment, the court granted SnapPower a permanent injunction, awarded pre- and post-judgment interest, found the case exceptional, and awarded SnapPower its attorneys’ fees. The amount of attorneys’ fees and non-taxable costs are yet to be determined.

The Workman Nydegger trial team included Chad Nydegger, Sarah Terry, and Jennifer Hunter, with Elliott Williams of Stoel Rives serving as second chair.

The result reflects the team’s strong advocacy and commitment to achieving meaningful outcomes for our clients.
