Workman Nydegger Secures $9.4 Million Patent Jury Verdict for SnapPower in Northern District of Texas 

Workman Nydegger successfully secured a $9.4 million jury verdict for SnapPower, a Utah-based technology company, in a patent infringement lawsuit tried in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. 

After a five-day jury trial, the jury found that the defendant willfully infringed all five asserted SnapPower patents, upheld the validity of every asserted claim, and awarded SnapPower $9.4 million in damages. The verdict represents a significant victory in a high-stakes patent litigation matter involving innovative electrical and consumer technology products. 

Workman Nydegger served as lead trial counsel for SnapPower beginning at the claim construction phase of the case and continued to lead the litigation through summary judgment, trial preparation, and jury trial proceedings. The legal team also helped enforce a general exclusion order issued by the International Trade Commission (ITC) through multiple successful proceedings before the Exclusion Order Enforcement Branch of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to bar imporation of the infringing products.
