Workman Nydegger is pleased to announce that attorney Chul-Woo Lee has been elected as secretary for the Intellectual Property (IP) Section of the Utah State Bar.

The IP section of the Utah State Bar offers a platform for learning and guidance on various topics such as patents, trademarks, litigation, copyright, e-commerce, trade secrets, licensing, post-grant proceedings, IP counseling, and International IP. To learn more about the IP section, please visit ip.utahbar.org.

When asked about his recent achievement, Mr. Lee expressed his gratitude, stating, “I was honored because I don’t have many contacts in Utah, but many believed in me. Furthermore, I felt a responsibility to actively attract more IP attorneys to the IP Section, regardless of their backgrounds. I received tremendous support from Workman Nydegger, particularly Dana Tangren (President & Managing Shareholder) and Mike Frodsham (Shareholder), who personally helped me familiarize myself with the IP Section and guided me on this path.”

Mr. Lee holds a B.S. in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering, as well as a J.D. He is a registered patent attorney with extensive experience in guiding clients on developing patent strategies for filing applications domestically and internationally. In his role as secretary, he will assist the IP presidency in organizing monthly CLEs, the annual boot camp, the annual CLE conference, and the IP Summit, as well as in fostering networks among IP attorneys. This position will provide Mr. Lee with a broader understanding of the intellectual property legal landscape and demonstrate how we can support other IP lawyers in achieving success.
