Dr. Meeker holds a Ph.D. in Oncological Sciences, with advanced training in biochemistry and molecular biology, which help him understand the unique challenges faced during patent prosecution in the fields of biotechnology and life sciences, chemistry and molecular therapeutics, pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals, medical diagnostics, and other disciplines. He regularly counsels clients in the U.S. and overseas on the procurement and protection of intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets. With an ability to speak and understand the Korean language and culture, Dr. Meeker has assisted his Korean clients with navigating the U.S. patent system. Dr. Meeker has worked on patents for pharmaceutical drugs and drug delivery systems, chemical compositions and systems, cell culture and plant science technology, PCR technologies and DNA melting curve analysis, fluorescence and luminescence imaging and monitoring, pathology diagnostic equipment and methods, liquid filtration materials and systems, and a variety of other products, systems, and methods.
