Best Lawyers®, a leading guide to the legal profession, has designated Workman Nydegger’s managing partner Brent Lorimer as Salt Lake City Lawyer of the Year in two categories: Intellectual Property Litigation and Trademark Law. Only two other lawyers in Utah are ranked as Lawyers of the Year in two practice areas. Lorimer, who specializes in litigation of intellectual property and complex commercial disputes, is also listed in Best Lawyers for his patent litigation and patent law work.
Lorimer has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts from New York to California. He has also participated in reexamination and reissue proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, interference litigation in federal district court, and has counseled clients in proceedings involving in inter partes proceedings before the European Patent Office. Lorimer was also Lawyer of the Year in 2011 and 2012.
Best Lawyers began designating Lawyers of the Year based on peer votes in 2009. Only a single lawyer in each practice area and metropolitan area is honored as Lawyer of the Year.
