Workman Nydegger Hosts Giles Rich Sutherland Memorial Moot Court Competition

SALT LAKE CITY, JANUARY 22, 2016 – Workman Nydegger hosted the local round of the 43rd Annual AIPLA Giles Sutherland Rich Memorial Moot Court Competition on January 20th. 14 students participated in the competition, four two-person teams from Brigham Young University and three two-person-teams from the University of Utah. W│N Shareholders Dave Johnson, David Todd, and Matthew Barlow coached the teams.

The competition consisted of each team preparing two briefs and participating in three rounds of oral arguments before three judge panels. David Jaffa and Michael Eixenberger (Utah) and Lloyd Wilson and Jedediah Knight (BYU) earned the right to advance, and both teams will now compete at the exhibition round at Workman Nydegger’s offices on February 17th at 12:00PM and the regional round in Palo Alto, CA on March 11-13.
