Levi Brown and Joseph Evans Join Workman Nydegger as Newest Associates

Workman Nydegger is pleased to welcome Levi Brown and Joseph M. Evans as Associates to the firm.

Mr. Brown will focus his practice on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the computer, electrical, and mechanical arts and related strategic counseling. He holds a bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering and Mandarin Chinese. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Brown worked as an electrical engineer for the Bechtel Marine Propulsion Corporation (formerly Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory). There, he assisted in the development of a system-wide calibration program and designed a series of programs to automatically calibrate a large amount of equipment. He also designed various data acquisition systems to extract and synthesize test data.

Mr. Evans will focus his practice on preparing and prosecuting patents in the mechanical and biomedical arts. Mr. Evans holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from Vanderbilt University, where his research projects included disease detection and diagnostic devices. His research included the optimization of backscattering interferometry, a method for detecting various disease biomarkers, as well as a novel device for detecting tuberculosis in low resource areas of the world. Previously, Mr. Evans worked at Bard Access Systems as an R&D intern. He was a member of the PICC team, designing and testing peripherally inserted central venous catheters.
