2010 W|N Ranks 8th Nationally In the 2010 Law Firm Patent Scorecard

Intellectual Property Today recently released its 2010 Law Firm Patent Scorecard, in which W|N was ranked 8th nationally among 249 firms.  W|N was only the Salt Lake City Firm ranked among the top 25 firms nationally.  Intellectual Property Today noted that "Workman Nydegger made its way into the top ten law firms with a 52% increase in Technology Strength."  (To read the entire article go to www.iptoday.com).

The Patent Scorecard is an analysis of the best performing law firms, which is derived from an analysis of the natively filed (as opposed to applications originating in foreign countries) U.S. utility patents obtained by a firm for its clients.  The Patent Scorecard evaluates the natively filed patents granted for a firm's clients by looking at the number of such patents granted, Technology Strength (a combined measure of quality and quantity), Current Impact (an indication of the extent to which others are building upon a portfolio of comparable patents), Science Linkage (which indicates the degree to which a portfolio references scientific publications), and Innovation Cycle Time (which indicates whether a portfolio is building off newer or older inventions).  To learn more about the Patent Scorecard contact info@patentboard.com.
