Mr. Nichols practices with the firm’s patent and trademark prosecution group. Mr. Nichols joined Workman Nydegger following completion of his work as a law clerk to the Honorable Dee Benson at the United States District Court for the District of Utah.
Mr. Nichols graduated from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law with highest honors, Order of the Coif, and was the recipient of numerous awards, including the CALI for the highest grade in legal methods and the Robert Schmid Natural Resources Writing Award. While in law school, Mr. Nichols served as Note and Comment Editor for the Utah Law Review and was an IP moot court competition finalist.
Prior to law school, Mr. Nichols worked as an environmental engineer for a Salt Lake Area consulting firm, where he designed and implemented groundwater and soil remediation systems.
