Workman Nydegger is pleased to announce that shareholder Brent P. Lorimer was honored with the Distinguished Service Award by the Utah Technology Council.  The award was presented at the UTC Annual Members’ Meeting in Salt Lake City.

Mr. Lorimer was recognized for his pro bono work on improving House Bill 251, which in its original form would have entirely eliminated non-compete agreements in Utah.  Working with other Utah tech leaders and interested community partners, Mr. Lorimer led an effort on behalf of UTC to resolve the competing interests in the bill, resulting in a bill that was less harmful to the technology industry.  Richard Nelson, CEO of UTC, commended Mr. Lorimer for his invaluable role in this process.
