Timothy D. Nichols Named Shareholder at Workman Nydegger

Timothy D. Nichols has been named shareholder at Workman Nydegger, Utah’s largest intellectual property firm.

Mr. Nichols, who is a registered patent attorney, received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Utah. He then proceeded to graduate as a member of the Order of the Coif with Highest Honors from S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Nichols was a law clerk to the Honorable Dee Benson at the United States District Court for the District of Utah.

Mr. Nichols focuses his practice primarily on U.S. and foreign patent strategy, preparation, and prosecution in a wide variety of technology areas, including medical and mechanical devices. He has prior experience as an environmental engineer, during which he designed, installed, and operated remedial systems. In addition, Mr. Nichols regularly prepares licensing, confidentiality and other agreements related to all aspects of intellectual property. He has written and prosecuted numerous patent applications in close cooperation with inventors, and is experienced working directly with examiners at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
